ABV: 40% ABV
Age: 25 Years
Nose: Varnish, blueberry. Lemon custard, poppyseed, some tobacco.
Taste: Medium mouth feel, no heat. Sweet, but not super complex. Grape, blueberry, lemon, poppyseed, faint dough.
Finish: Short, a bit thin. Pepper, dough, blueberry, faint yeast. Faint sulfur. Surprising fruitiness for the age.
Overall: This is pretty nice, but compared to the Royal, I’ll take the Royal 11/10 times.
