Nose: Fresh orange, citrus, faint latex paint. Sweet honey, bright fruit and a bright roasted agave note.
Taste: Bright and sweet on the palate, a big grassy note greets first. Confectioners sugar, pepper, a faint woody ash. Bright orange, mango, lemon zest. Cream cheese sweetness. Back palate has a bit of wood smoke.
Finish: Long finish. Bright and fruity, with the addition of some clay, slate and burning wood smoke. Almost a hickory note.
Overall: Overall, quite a nice Tobala. The complexity and combination of the fruits and the ashy component work well together, bringing plenty of flavor.
