Nose: Sweet cream cheese frosting, buttered popcorn, red berries, peppercorn. Faint rubber note, lots of rich vanilla, bright and grassy with some faint citrus and cedar.
Taste: Thick on the palate. Rich with heather, creamy richness, vanilla bean, papaya, japaleno and a great pepper presence on the back palate – like cracked peppercorn and olive oil. Deliciously complex and rich.
Finish: Long, rich and powerful. Perfectly minerality balance between sweet cream, smoldering charcoal, limestone and lemon curd. Grassy and complex.
Overall: Incredible arroqueno, in my opinion. This has everything I like and nothing that I don’t, and I’m off to buy a bottle.
