Review #1804 | Mezcal Review #173

Distiller: Margarito Lopez Flores

Bottler: Maguey Melate

Brand: Maguey Melate

ABV: 48.5% ABV

Age: NA

Nose: Bright, floral, fruity, vegetal. Exuberant and inviting. Whew.

Taste: Sweet cream, vanilla, lemon and lime zest. Spot of clay. Faint melon. Delightful and complex.

Finish: Long finish, smoky at times with a lovely mineralogy component.

Overall: I love this, perhaps more than the Pechuga version of this bottling. I’m thankful for the comparison and the fruit, citrus and sweetness here are lovely.

Thanks for reading!
