Brand: Mezcal Marca Negra

Selection:

ABV: 48.6% ABV

Nose: Rich roasted agave, honey and almond slivers, faint citrus zest and some pepper. Lavender, light clay, some salinity.

Taste: Sweet at first, plenty of agave character here as well. Bright and fruit forward, a hint of cream and cheese on the back palate. Reminds me of salted melon, some cantaloupe, rising bread and some minerality.

Finish: Long finish presents some clay, some honey and more bread character rife with sweet roasted agave.

Overall: Extremely pleasant, this bottling of a favorite agave never fails to disappoint and show the impressive skill in the hand of the maker.
