Nose: Sweet apricot, pepper, clay and paint. Some light agave stank, but overall there is a really lovely cotton candy undertone and a big crisp pepper note thats in your face.
Taste: Medium viscosity on the palate but lots of flavor. Pepper and fresh baked bread are very prominent initially, along with some clay, some ash smoke and a hint of pineapple.
Finish: The finish is long and ash forward. Lots of smoke here – along with pepper, burning wood, minerality and clay. Not much, if any, fruit from the nose.
Overall: Overall, I like this but the complexity fades after you trek past the nose. Thats not the end of the world, but I really prefer more complexity, especially in the finish. That said, this is drinking quite well, and I think its pretty good.
