Distiller: Armando Martinez
Bottler: Mezcal Amaras
Brand: Mezcal Amaras
ABV: 40% ABV
Nose: Light toffee, cinnamon, clove and a hint of cream sweetness.
Taste: Medium mouthfeel, sweet buttercream, honey, toffee and light brown sugar.
Finish: Medium finish that’s a touch bitter, but roasted agave sweetness overcomes the barrel character here and mingles with pepper on the finish.
Overall: Overall, enjoyable if simple Espadin. The barrel influence is undeniable, but it works well enough.
