Nose: Vibrant and effervescent on the nose, the Tep is immediately apparently. Bright and acidic with the smell of rain, citrus, green bell peppers and some earthiness. Shockingly vibrant orange character with lime, salinity and a confectioners sugar note.
Taste: Moderate mouthfeel, a tinge of ethanol. Sweet and earthy, more bell pepper and salinity on the palate. That citrus pop is gone, now replaced by earthiness, pepper, some light ash and a hint of plasticity.
Finish: Long finish. Extremely complex with notes of soil, salinity, light ash, cream and sugar, pepper and light cedar.
Overall: This ensamble is wild, demonstrating a dichotomy between the nose and palate of the likes I’ve not seen in a long time. From delightful citrus pop on the nose to salinity and soil on the palate, I’m a fan.
