Distiller: Alberto Ortiz
Bottler: Yuul Baal
Brand: Yuul Baal
ABV: 48% ABV
Nose: Ripe fruit, pine, cedar, glue and mango. All over the place, lots going on, and some uniqueness, for sure. The glue note is sort of fun and weird.
Taste: A bit hot, but rich and full of pepper, sweet cream, a crisp rainwater note. Light vegetation, some more of that chemical glue note, though it’s not offputting. Bright and crisp.
Finish: Long ashy finish with tons of mango, cream, citrus zest and a hint of minerality.
Overall: Honestly, Yuu Baal is the definition of a hit or miss bottler given the state of their pechuga, but this is a bright, fun, crisp fruity adventure that manages to also remain quite unique.
