Notes: Banana bread, honey and almond. Big fruit notes like red berry, some banana, toffee, peanut brittle and brown butter. While I’m typically a fan of everything at barrel proof, this is placed just right – an easy sipper with tons of character. Not meek in the slightest with a great mouthfeel. Oaky tobacco, praline candies and roasted pecans, long decadent finish.
Additional Info: I’ve tried many many many JD single barrels at 94pf since the program started (they’re offered at separate allocation from the BP) and this is the only one that’s cleared the mark for quality, and it’s a good one:
