r/Bourbon 2021 – Sagamore Spirit 6yr Rye

Year: 2021 by t8ke

Info: Barrel 139, Floor 6, Rack 2 – 142 Bottles

Retailer: Green Farms Spirits

Notes: Oh yeah, that’s rye. Powerful clove, baking spice, light herbal character and massive maple influence. Spicy on the nose and the palate, rich and desserty on the finish. 55% is just right for bottling, and the oak structure works hard at only 6 years old (almost 7, but just shy). Long peppercorn finish. This isn’t barely legal rye by any stretch, but there’s also no dilly mint either. A rye drinkers rye for sure.
